Hi, new to this forum.

I recently bought the first coral for my 2.5 pico. It is an old eclipse 3 with an AQ 50 refugium. I have not upgraded the lighting , it is the little 6 watt that came in the hood.

Well, after much internal debate I decided to go ahead and get a little striped mushroom frag last week at the LFS. To my suprize, it loves my tank and is 3x bigger than at the store, with 4 or 5 additional polyps neither I, nor the store owner noticed.

Since this is doing really well, should I get any more, and what species? or am I pushing my luck with such pathetic lighting? It is a very small tank so I would like to avoid anything I will need to feed. the other inhabitants are 2 small hermits and a couple snails.

Thanks,
Kelly

mushrooms do not need much/good light so you should be fine.
They expand their surface to catch more light. with lots of light the polyg gets smaller and vice versa
