Qt tank

Hi what size is the right size tank to setup as a qt tank. I have a ten gallon tank stored is it ok for qt acclimate fish or bigger size needed and can I use a canister filter for filtration or a sump is better. I already have a canister filter stored away I had it when I did freshwater hobby cause my sw dt will have sump, any advice suggestion thanks

Depends on how big if fish you would be QT. I have a 10 G tank I use for nursery and qt. it works out fine.. As far as your filtration a canister and sump might be to much. A simple hang on filter will do perfectly..

So djbootleg don't use a canister filter for a qt tank just a hob one. I plan on tangs is ten gallons to small to acclimate them.

My apologize, I forgot I clicked the "Saltwater" section lol. I'm not sure about salt, if you need a sump or canister. But the QT tank I have in freshwater with a hob filter.
