Quarantine tank

When setting up a quarantine tank should you add live sand? I have a 10 gallon tank, piggy back filter , power head and heater. What else should I add to this tank if I am only going to use it for new fish or sick fish?

No sand or rocks in a QT. The only thing you need is the tank, heater, and filter. Many put a piece if PVC pipe in the tank just to give the fish someplace to hide for security & stress reduction.
