ok this may be a stupid question and i did try to find info on the topic but no luck
whats the proper procedure to prepare rock that you find in the ocean for ur aquarium
and any comments that u have on this topic would be great thanx!

No stupid question at all. I believe you treat ocean rock just like completely uncured rock. Put them in a tub with SW of course with no lights and do weekly if not every 3-4 days water changes, siphon out dead stuff, with a new toothbrush scrub dead stuff off the rock (dead stuff will usually look white or black), this whole proces could take up to 8-12 weeks depending how bad it is. Oh and be aware, it smells baaaaad when rock is curing. It is a lot of work.

Most important thing, make sure it's legal in your area, I know there are some laws against people picking up live rock straight from the ocean.

Hope this helps, lets see what the others have to say. :D
