i got a 55g tank from someone. he had it well established before i got it. i set it up with the same stuff that was in it when he had it up and running. the only thing that is new is the bio-balls. they came from another person and they havent been used in a while. Its been running for over a week, all the LR went back in the tank when i got the water in it. and the same sand was in there as well....

what kind of cycle am i looking at? is it gonna be quick? or even bairly one at all? or a full cycle?

I tested the amonia after a week and it was at .2 and the next day was at 0....

i just really wanna add fish lol:fish1:

That was the first thing I did.... I'm not asking about a cycle for a
New tank. But for one that was transferred and then running a couple weeks later. all the LR was kept in buckets with powerheads in them.

The only way to be sure is to dose some ammonia and check back a day later and see that it reads 0.

I would think your cycle would be fast, if at all, but there's likely to be some die-off from the LR so it's better to be safe than sorry.
