question about my power head

First I would like to thank everyone that has replyed to my threads and taken the time to answer them. So I just moved my powerhead to be pointed to my live rock. I had it pointed width wise and now it is length wise if that makes sence. So my question is it ok to have it pointed twords my live rock? Also when I did I noticed a few white pieces fly off my rock is tha harmful in anyway?

no..you are good. actually, you want to blow off the rock every so often anyway, to remove anything that has settled on it.
