Question about Pistol "snapping" shrimp

My uncle told me the other day that pistol shrimps can get big enough to crack a tank. I know that can't be true since they don't have hammers like mantis shrimp(I want one so bad). So how big can pistol shrimps get? And could they do damage to anything in the tank? I recently found one in my tank.

No way. Pistols get like 2" max. Really not even mantis' will. I've only seen one video of one doing it and it was a wine glass or something

I have heard try can crack a glass tank if they wanted I've never seen it but I can easily assume they can going by they're ability to crack snail shells and break through crab armor... But that's what I thought about pistols. Another question, my pistol shrimp is always clicking at night is there a reason for that? Also would it be better if I got it a goby to pair with?
