I'm starting a 240 gal salt tank and was reading about live sand. I live on the gulf and was wondering if I can use this sand? the sand is white and the water is clear blue

I don't see why you couldn't. Might want to strain it and clean it some to make sure you don't get any pests.

I'm doing research and came across this thread. Just one thought popped into my head. Make sure there isnt any petroleum from the oil spill in the gulf. That stuff can last for years.
