Question for new system

Tank is already on its way, i have descarted undergravel filter for the new one.

i am considering the use of a sump and a refuge (still not convinced)

but i just found my old equipment:

1 vortex dyathomea filter

1 Aquaclear 250 GAL filter

2 Powerheads (dont remember power)

I am planning to go Some fwlr then maybe later into reef, what do you think?

The vortex should only be used as a polisher occassionally
