quick question

I'm going to be using pfs in my 55g reef. I was going to clean it and then put it in the tank. I wanted to figure out how to work the wet dry filter and was going to test it out on the tank of water without salt added. I can't seem to find an answer. Is this an okay thing to do? There will be no livestock in the tank during this.

Also any advice on building rock work up?

Ya you can test it on freshwater. The rock work really depends on your taste, but to make it most effective put it in a way so that there is minimal dead spots and maximum water movement over over the rocks.

Awesome good to know. Can I use epoxy to stabilize the rock as it goes up?

Yes you can also drill holes to slide the rock onto pvc pipe to build tall structures and arches
