Quick sump help

Looks right to me. You might need a ball valve on the return. The overflow is only 300gph but there will be head loss on the pump putting it down to, I would only guess here, but about 500gph sounds right. otherwise it sounds good.

Thanks. Didn't know about the ball valve....look into it. Just can't figure out what width of tubing I need. Can't find a diameter of the return on the pump.
 
i would skip the rio and go with a quiet one 3000 or a mag drive 7. they are much better pumps. i've had plenty of those rio's quit on me prematurely.
 
check in the pump technical info before you get any pipework,although it may have a 19mm outlet some pumps need that to be enlarged for the stated gph
 
Lowes/home depot have all the plumbing supplies way cheaper than a LFS.

Please return or sell the RIO and get a Quiet One. Rios are absolute garbage.
