As soon as I know the 125 is cycled I'm reclaiming my 29 gallon and making it a frag tank/ sick coral tank. I would love to learn how to frag and would also like to have a place to put a specimen like this if it starts looking bad. Only problem is I have to buy knew light or figure a way to rig the lights from my old 75 gallon over it.

My jawfish is the craziest thing.

Trying to pick some new corals. It's hard to look at little frags and know what's going to look really great down the road. Any suggestions?

Some really bright blastos or zoos are nice. Favites look really nice long term as they grow large, too. If your lighting is really bright you could put a Maxima down on the sand bed.

would you ever consider an elegance coral? thats a pretty neat coral in my tank i have alot of lps and softies

An elegance is a great idea! I loved mine so much, hated to give it away but my clowns almost killed it. lol

So I made a trip to Indianapolis today to a LFS and came home with some new goodies taking some of the advise given on the coral. I got a really neon yellow/green favia and my first clam. It's a derasa. And while they didn't have the blue or purple acropora suggested I did get a green Bali slimer.

arcoporas are probably some of the hardest corals to keep, i know i suggested it but make sure you're ready to keep things prestine and all trace elements high as they are a high like SPS

Yea acros are up there. Pocilloporas are a bit harder just because they can die for seemingly no reason. I would defenitely try for an elegance if you have the room though.

Question...is there a reason I never saw a picture of the red mandarin dragonet?!? I'm gonna look through one more time...lol

I want an elegance just haven't seen a good specimen lately. Last time I saw a good one I passed it up to get my meat coral and a couple other frags. It's on the wish list though.

As requested pictures of the red mandarin. They aren't the greatest but at least it's a glimpse.
