Red Algae?

I have something that's growing in my tank that looks like red algea.

Is there such a thing?

It's on one individual LR with some yellow carnation coral and spreading on to the sand. I put the LRw/coral in the tank 4 weeks ago.

What is it?
Is it OK?
Should I get rid of it, and how?

Yes there is red coraline algea.
But the way you are explaining it, it sounds more like cyano bacteria.
Can you get a pic?
Is it slimy or hard?
