Evening all. Please help, recently ive notice a red coloured algae growing on my live sand and nowhere else. At first I thought it was that I was over feeding.so ive cut it right down . I do a weekly 20 % water change but its still there . Can anyone recommend a good way of getting rid of it and how to prevent it coming back.

siphon it out and do more frequent water changes till its gone, you most likely have high phosphates that are fueling it , water changes can correct this but they need to be consistent till it's gone , depending what size the tank double up what you normally do but change it to 3X a week you should see a big improvement in about 7 to 10 days
