I know I had a tank crash the other month so my flame fish died and my sun coral almost died there was only 1 polyp surviving the crash and amazingly it has made new ones. So I am trying to grow the colony back

This is the third day in a row that this guy has had his tentacles out. He must really like what I'm feeding him

New addition looks great. Be careful target feeding. The sun coral alone need to be fed daily. Then if you start target feeding other coral, you will be putting a lot of nutrients in tank daily. Just saying. I had a sun coral and it ended up fouling my water over time. I was only feeding sun coral. Everything else just got what was left floating.

I know I got my sun coral to feed weekly so I only feed weekly. Then I use barely any food. Same here the other corals just get leftovers

you don't need to feed the sun daily. it's fun and they seem to like it, but i have fed them every 3 days or so and they were fine. i think some members of this forum don't feed them at all, and they do ok. it's not a recommendation of mine since they are non-photo, but just FYI.

be careful overfeeding for another reason. i believe that they can't process enormous amounts of food and then start to get poisoned by it. remember, in the wild, they get a lot less feedings than we give them. i've experienced this.

O my gosh help me I bought way to many corals!
