Hi all. I purcahsed a used Red Sea Max 130 (34gal) tank last week, and have a few questions.
The stock pumps have been replaced at some point with Maxi Jet pumps. One is a Maxi jet 1200, which works great, the other is a Maxi jet 600, which does work, but is noisy as crap, and needs to be replaced.
Considering I need to replace, what would be the best pump(s) to go with? Quiet is worth the extra money to me, as this tank is going to be in our bedroom.
Also, the skimmer that comes with it is working fine, and in good condition. I know people like to upgrade these skimmers, so, if I do decide to do that, what skimmer would be the best to get to fit in place of this one?
I plan to buy new bulbs and replace the splash guard cover as well. The bulbs both wrok fine, but I have no idea how old they are, so I want to replace them before I start adding corals.
