Okay I see what you're saying. But with the biocube it was engineered to have a refugium, so I don't see why it would matter. Either way will work!

The intank fuge basket is made to fit in the biocube as well as a media basket if you dont have that already.

Yea awesome filtration and good flow. Just have to cut the tab where the skimmer hangs on. There are some threads on here about them. Best $ I've spent on my bc
