Refugium mud change.

What's the best way to change mud without getting it in the main tank. The mud has been in the refugium for a year. Will leaving the pump off until the new mud settles affect my corals??? The corals are my main concern.



Any advice would be appreciated.

I personally would not change it. Mine has been in mine about 15 yrs under the sand in my refuge. I would not change it. JMO
