Sounds good. I have filter media in my bubble trap before the fuge, this stuff must just be really fine.

Is there something I could put in there to eat it or would that remove some of the benefit? I do a water change every other week so i can vacuum it then but it just looks pretty nasty after a few days.

I've got three hermit crabs in mine, but I have 1/2-3/4 live sand on the bottom.

I wouldn't worry about it, but because yours is a hob fuge you can periodically vacuum it our as mentioned. My sump is collecting the same stuff.

You want to try to keep any predators out of the refugium if at all possible.
Also, never add any creatures that eat algae.

Ok. Thanks for the help, I suppose I'm the only one who looks at the filtration anyway.
