I'd try the side with the overflow. maybe underneath it and pointed up and towards the front glass? Or are the rocks too high?

Hey I bought a manderin goby a month ago he always hides I seen him today and snapped a quick picture of him. To me he looks too skinny is this normal? I have bought pods and put them in my tank. I'm just wondering if he is eating them ,do the pods die out? Or run out?
Any help will do thanks

I used tiger pods once didn't seem like they did any reproducing if you have any other fish in there they will eat them too u can get 1000. Copepods on e bay cheap I would recommend them over tiger pods and of course lots of live rock helps as well

Not from my own experience, but from research from several reliable sources, a mandarin will go through a bottle of pods or more per week. That's pretty much the reason they are so difficult to keep alive if not trained on other types of food sources.

I would work on that mandarin and getting him to eat prepared foods, specially if he looks thin. It;s unfortunate, but usually once they start to thin out its too late.

I started with small frozen food like cyclopeeze and then moved to baby brine and finally she eats everything I put in the tank. The same with my scooter. Took about a month of training for each but it worked, at least for now.

As mentioned above, they can go through a bottle of pods a week if not quicker. Do you have a refugium? Thats a good place to put pods so they can grow and populate the system

Good luck!!

Hey guys I just bought test kits. What should I test for in a reef aquarium?

I test every now and then my ammonia and nitrates. Weekly or more frequently I test for alkalinity, calcium, phosphates and magnesium. :)

Neighbor came home with French angel from ocean ...is it safe to dump in my aquarium?

How can I get more coraline growth in my tank? Is it possible I have too much lighting? Any help will do thanks!
