What would be the best purchase at this time a ro/di unit to replace using tap water. Or the addition of a protien skimmer to my set up. Just trying to set up my next big purchase.

RO/DI is always a good step towards ensuring you are putting 0 TDS into your system. Just make sure you are only feeding sparingly and you can put off the skimmer for later.

This just popped up on Cl anyone know if it's worth the price

It looks to be worth 50 bucks. I've never seen it before nor do I know the dimensions, but it's going to need a pump. That may cost you close to 100 bucks.

I know it's not a lot to work with but does anyone know what kind of skimmer this may be?
