Are these gloves safe to use in an aquarium.

Those should be just fine. Just avoid gloves with the powder or any residues on them. I always use my nitrile surgical gloves when doing major work in my tanks or fragging zoas/palys.
 
I was just wondering because they have a weird smell
 
Should smell like rubber kinda or a doctors office lol. The big concern would be something on the gloves but as for the material there will be so little contact time with your water a leeching issue wouldn't be a problem really either.
