I planned to purchase a 1.5 gallon glass tank and put it on my wrought Iron plant stand - I forgot that water actually is quite heavy and now I'm not so sure that would be safe...so then I thought I'd upgrade to a 3 or 5 gallon tank and get a stand for it (as there is no free surface to put it on) but when I tried to find stands on-line the smallest I've come across was for 10 gallons.

Would my plant stand work for the 1.5 gallon tank?
Any suggestions on what would be a safe makeshift "stand" for a 3-5 gallon
(inexpensive is best :)

any help appreciated:fish1:

Well I'll update - I decided I could put even a five gallon on a solid wood cart I have - my new problem is that there is a washing machine in the room and when I press on the surface of the cart I do feel slight vibrations.

Will this break/ crack an acrylic tank?
Is there a way to reduce the vibrations?
