I use red sea coral pro. Seems to work just fine. From my reading, I would recommend reef crystals or red sea coral pro if you plan to keep a reef tank.

I use it. No complaints. Not sure what you plan on keeping but it seems good for reefs.

I like the regular Red Sea salt better than the Coral Pro version but both are fine salts.

Larry - why do you like the regular better? It is definitely cheaper. I don't want to throw away the extra money if the cheaper stuff is acceptable.

Red Sea pro coral salt my tanks has exploded, the corals absolutely love it .....tried over four different salts tested all them and found Red Sea to be the best for me ....also bc they are a private company i believe they have it in the best interests of the customer and not the shareholders loll....YouTube Red Sea salt and watch the video it's pretty cool

I switched to Coral Pro for the higher Alk/Calc content. But, with my SPS, I'm having to dose 2-part anyway, so I'll probably move down to a cheaper salt like regular Red Sea or Reef Crystals.

It's closer to the levels I keep my tank at and doesn't mess with my dosing scheme when I do water changes. I don't like the high calcium and alk it mixes to. I only use regular Red Sea or regular Instant Ocean. Their parameters are very similar.

With that being said, here's for all those who say Instant Ocean isn't for a reef tank.
Now and then
