Why do you want to lower it? Natural seawater is 1.026 . We do need to figure out why it did rise though. Are you adding fresh water as your top off water?

No I mean I added a bucket of Or water and mix my salt but tank was at 1:024 and the new 5 gallon was at 1:026. If it does go higher how would I lower it?

I'm not sure exactly what your asking but if your talking abount adding 1.026 water to an existing 1.024 tank I doubt it would raise the tank water that much and it wouldn't raise it above 1.026 anyway.

my level is at 1.026 should I try to lower it or am I. Fine til next water change?

1.026 is perfect i keep mine at 1.025 just in case i forget to top it off it wont climb to high 1.024 will save you a few bucks in the long run (years)
