Salt levels

I recently had a problem with my aquarium. My salinity levels rose to 1.032 and after asking around I realized I misunderstood or was misinformed when I started the aquarium.

Every time my tank needed water I would mix the salt into my new water then add it to my aquarium and check the salinity but my last few times I skipped the testing part. Stupid of me I know.

My question is this.......... When I add new water do I need to add salt to it if so how often?

If you are topping off just add ro water, no salt only during water changes do you use saltwater. The water evaporates but the salt stays in.

You can remove a little water at a time and replace it with regular water no salt till you get it to 1.026.

It's ok I already have it down to 1.024
