salt mix recipe

Hola!

I'm getting ready for my first water change after 5 weeks of cycling.

Any sugestions on how much salt I need to make 10 gals of water ? I'm using Reef Crystals salt .

How many cups per gallon ?

1/2 cup per gallon to start, then test and adjust

1/2 cup per gallon ! Great !

I used 5 1/2 cups of reef crystals salt to get the water to 1.025.

I forgot to mention it was 5 1/2 cups to make up 10 gals of water at 1.025.

At what temperature? Temperature is also a factor to some degree in specific gravity.

Temperature was at 81 degrees.
