Saltwater cycling

Can somebody tell me what to expect when cycling my tank. It's a 25 gal. It's not setup. Thank you.

Diatoms disappear once they've used up all their resources. Usually you'll see diatoms, then hair algae, and lastly cyano.

For me, I think the diatoms appeared when the cycle was ending. Somewhere around there. Lasted for a few weeks.
