Saltwater Start

Hi, I hope to get a lot out of this forum. I acquired a 35 gallon hexagonal tank, and I would like to make it a saltwater tank. I'm not worried about a light right now, but what do I need to get to start me off the ground? I have a budget of about 100-150$... please help! Thanks. ( not looking to just throw fish in right away, just want to be ready for them)
