If the snails are doing there job you should be good. But I still wouldn't mix it in to crazy. You will cloud your tank up worse then you already will be from justing adding it. But for looks you probably want to blend it so it looks nice.

Ok will do. One more question, I'm getting 50 pounds of rock tommarrow and I have a rubber made bin with some saltwater I mixed and a small power head for flow. I don't have an extra heater, think I'll be ok without one??

How long do you plan on keeping it in there? I personally don't use a heater for some reason my tank stays warm without it. I would think as long as you don't keep your house 50 degrees and you mix your water same temp as tank it will be fine.

Well I already have 40 pounds of LR in my tank and was just planning to cycle it in the bin. It's cold here and the temp is around 30-50 right now. I just didn't want any hitchhikers to die off due to the cold water during cycle

I would probably get a heater just to keep water regulated but you should be good for a couple days till you get one. Just keep an eye on the temp and see what it holds at. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Just rinse it in a bucket untill it runs pretty clear. How old is your tank? On an older tank you run the risk of stirring up Hydrogen sulfide gas and that is why on an older tank it's just better to add it to the top and let your Cuc STIRR it slowly.
