would play ground sand work for a reef tank? i don't know much about salt water and i was wondering (O: and if not why ? (O:

What do you mean by playground sand? Are the local kids gonna find a hole dug in their playground??

Aragonite and silica playsands offered for sale in the gardening center of your local Home Depot are often used for substrate in reef tanks. Do a search for
Southdown
Old AND Castle
Aragonite AND sand
silica AND sand

And you'll find lots of info on different sands.
