I was hoping someone would like to take a stab at explaining my test kit. I understand it tests the ph, ammonia , and nitrate levels. I was hoping someone could go more in depth as to how each of these are introduced to the tank as well as what causes them to "spike" or vary. I know it can be a combination of things however what I was look for was more like: too many fish cause... Or too many live rocks cause... Live sand produces...

Hopefully that makes sense and someone will tackle it! Thanks

Check out the link in my signature. I know its for freshwater, but as far as I know, they're both the same science.
