Sea Anemones

How long does it take for a sea anemone to reach full size? I think I may have one in my tank. It had to have somehow survived on my live rock, even though I have had the same live rock in my tank for about 9 or 10 months now, and have never seen it until now in all that time. It is very small. (tentacles reaching out only about an inch at full stretch, and the body is no larger than a small pea) If this is an anemone in my tank, how long does it take for an anemone to get full grown? Or could this one already be full grown, and just be a small one? I have another posting under Identification for Anemones, with a picture attached to one of the messages.
