sea horse tank

hey guys im trying to get into seahorse i got a 30gal hex but its not drilled for a sump did i already mess up should i get rid of it or use some type of canister
all i have is the tank what should i get as in lights, should i get i protein skimmer i heard its not necessary but i dont know


any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure but I don't think you would need a sump for horses. Maybe just an HOB filter?

hexagon tanks are rather hard to take care of because of their shape. You do not need a sump but a hob filter you would need. Skimmer isnt needed but you really should get one. For the lighting are you wanting this to have corals in it?

im guessing the light has to be smaller then usual but strong enough to due the work
