Hey guys just a quick question.

Do sea urchin's damage mushrooms? Also is it true that I don't need any specific lighting for mushrooms?

I've got 2 urchin's about 2cm diameter each and just wanted to know because they have spikes if they I'll damage the mushrooms coz I'm looking at buying some tomorrow.

Also are mushrooms reef safe?

I've got nemos, fire and 2 star fish in my 75g tank

Thanks heaps

Danny

Mushrooms are for sure reef safe. And they require very little lighting. I keep mine under an overhang and they are doing wonderfully.

Not sure about the urchins though, they dont interest me for some reason could be that they are known to knock over corals in their journeys through the tank LOL

I personally keep a spiny sea urchin and I can assure you they will not even go near a mushroom coral they are only interested in eating algae.
