Hey all,

I just bought a new Seachem Multitest for Silicate and the results are not what the kit says they will be. The scale that comes with the kit says they should be nearly clear to a deep blue (deep blue being very high silicate)

mine are a muddy brown color... and im absolutely sure ive performed the test correctly.

has anybody experienced this before? thanks!

I take it nobody has seen this but here is a follow-up:

I emailed SeaChem and as it turns out this is a rare problem with their silicate test kits. Its from long-term exposure to high humidity during shipping. The company responded quickly to my emails and my new regents are being shipped right away!

go go SeaChem! :D
