Seio m1500

I just purchased a Seio m1500 and placed it in my tank. Every so often, the pump will make this grinding type noise and then spit out a ton of micro-bubbles into the tank. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is the pump defective? Thanks!

I have 2 Seio 820's, and they occasionally do the same thing. It only lasts a second and then stops. It almost seems like it has air built-up inside, and is expelling it at once. I cant find anything wrong with mine.

Sounds like your impeller might be slightly loose. Follow these maintenance instructions to see if that’s the case.

Cool. Thanks for the responses. I will try the maintenance steps when I get home. Hopefully, that will take care of the problem.

Ray,

I guess that it worked. When I took it apart, I didn't notice anything wrong it. I haven't seen it do that again.

I'm heading out of town for the Memorial weekend. But I do want you to come by and give me your opinions. I'll give you a call when I get back in town.
