Setting up new 80 gal tank

An anyone help me with the best way to plumb my corner overflow it has 2 bulkheads !! I figure the larger 1 for the feed and the smaller one return ??? Do I just put a PVC pipe with a strainer on the feed ?? How high ?? And any ideas on the return ?? Thanks
