should i get live rock straight from divers??

my 72 bow front is in need of more live rock sold alot when i moved saw some guys online that ive talk to over the phone that dives and sells uncured rock is it good to get or better??

if you qt it to make sure it doesn't contain any baddies i dont see why not. infact, i'd get it and throw it into straight distilled water to get everything out.

It's not legal for divers to take the rock and sell it off or give it away. You need a permit I believe to harvest off the coast if florida so it has to be similar elsewhere. I wouldnt take the chance. You can save a couple bucks but better off just getting alot of base rock and seeding it with some live rock.
