Skimmer 80gal help

Hi I am starting up a 80gal saltwater reef and fish tank.
I have a Marine land sump tank and it only takes marine land skimmer. They only offer two a 100gal and a 300gal skimmer. I have a 80 gal reef and fish overstock. Can I use a 300 gal skimmer or will it be a over kill?

Could you post a picture of the sump? Seems odd that you couldnt use a different make skimmer. AS long as you have the space I dont see why you couldnt.

You should be bale to put any skimmer in that center compartment. Just measure it and then see which will fit. I'm guessing there is a spot for "their" skimmer but you dont have to utilize it.
