skimmer question

well after 6.5 weeks 55 gal has cycled. i have put in a aqua clear skimmer mps75. i have adjusted the water level to the prescribed level and all appears to be running fine. my question is the tank is one giant air bubble? will this subside?

my question is this. the thnk has so many small air bubbles that you cannot see anything in it . damsels, shells etc.

Most skimmers require a "break in" period. They will usually make micro bubbles like crazy for a couple of weeks. I am not familiar with the skimmer you mentioned...well, I have an old Aqua Clear but I'm not sure what model it is. They are not really great skimmers. On the other hand, they are better than nothing. I think once you get some buildup on the skimmer body, the bubbles will slow down.
