does anyone have or "had" this skimmer?

it is so much cheaper then the rest it scares me a little. I like the pump size and everything, however with everything i have read all the reviews mimic the 4 on amazon, and show really no longterm use results. I have a 75 gallon FOWLR with a 485 GPH return at 3 feet so this would be perfect if it isnt a plastic anchor.

any info or advice would be awesome

Just got in the mail yesterday has an 800 GPH venturi style pump. The darn thing had no instructions at all. Found out on the venturi pumps (after my best friend Google helped) the air inlet is in front of the actual impeller thing. So that works. There is a second hole which water just shoots out of, kinda thinking a self cleaning port for the venturi? Not sure. It seems to work ok; I tested it in a tub lol. The size for the outlet doesn’t fit any standard PVC, CPVC, Brass, or Stainless fittings, so I had to get the hose used for cleaning pools. and use a clamp to secure. am in the process of setting up sump for skimmer and everything tonight will post pics and update after gets broken in.

Ok so that setup didn't work because the water level was never constant. So I totally got a 20 breeder and Meade a sump myself. The dump has a fuge with some cheato. Pics as well. Skimmer is producing. So for 60 on amazon you get a skimmer with a little tweaking that really works.
