the Blenny actually came out for a brief photo op today. I was able to get this shot of both the fish. Not the best but it's not horrible by any means.

I was able to get a pretty good shot of the Goby the other day though.

Thanks! The only thing I've had issues with is the trumpet frag I got a couple weeks ago.

So after a fair amount of research it looks like i have a fair number of Vermitid Snails in the tank. they don't seems to be hurting anything but i'm not a fan of seeing their little "webs" all over the rocks and floating around.

other than manually breaking their shells is there anything i can do to curtail them?

So a few days ago I had another rock collapse. This time I redid the rock with more caution. The reason it kept collapsing is that I would stack some of the large pieces on the decorative and more fragile pieces which put quite a bit of strain on it leading to a fracture. I took a better look at my pieces this time and stacked them according to heft and sturdiness so I should see no more issues. I'm also thinking about gluing some of the pieces in place just to be sure but I'm not sure about that yet.

So far I've been successful in not buying anything living for the tank so I only have until Oct 16th, I'm pretty sure I can make it! I have made a couple purchases though which should be revealed hopefully tomorrow. In the mean time what do you think of the new scape?

I agree the dKH is low. I did a pwc so I'll test it later to see if it came up

lol no worries! The lights are awesome, I'm seeing great growth with them but unfortunately the one unit isn't enough for my tank. So, to rectify that issue I bought a second unit! It should be here in a week or so.

- Hammer with 6 heads
- Plate coral
- Insanely bright green mushrooms
- Kenya Tree (still waiting for it to open up)
- Blue Clove Polyps (I know they grow like crazy but they are really pretty)

The best part is...they were all free!!
