I was told to vacuum the medium crushed coral... Well, I think I killed the fauna that the Sleeper goby enjoyed so much..

I'm not sure though...? But, after I cleaned the substrate thouroghly, he got skinny and bent and dead

Well, I wonder why my LFS told me to do this... Murderers!

How do you keep a sleeper goby alive if you want to vacuum the poop and leave the fauna?

Well, if you were using CC, vacuuming was the right way to go, however, a sleeper goby is ill advise with CC.

The vacuum will not distinguish between the fauna and the poop. You would have to get your goby to accept food from the water column.

I have learned that most LFS workers/owners are stupid and will say almost anything to make a sale.
