Snails

I have a silly question, can I use spray paint to make their shells look pretty.
Or would it be better to just dip them in the paint can? Ok, sorry, I'm totally
kidding of course. My real question is, do SW snails tend to reproduce as aggressively as freshwater snails? I'm sure it depends on the type of snail, but I was wondering what experience you've had with that. I'm guessing that if they did have babies they'd be quickly snacked upon. I'll be starting a new tank shortly and trying to get some things figured out by the time I am ready to add critters.

IME they dont reproduce more than FW snails and they are more likely to be snack food than FW snails.

I wouldn't buy two expecting a hundred in a couple months. Mine lay eggs all the time. I have all the well none types and all lay eggs regularly. I have never seen a small version of any of my full size snails. I would buy what you need. Then, if you do get a huge population, you can sell some back to the lfs!

I did see some small snails in the tank a few years ago, but nostly they are snack food.
