Splitting mushroom

So my mushroom is self splitting few days now and it's all over the place. Is it normal to travel this much while splitting??

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "traveling" while it splits. Mushrooms can split/regenerate and release themselves to relocate themselves somewhere else etc.

It seems to be doing both at the same time and has found the smallest piece of rock to hug onto right now. I know they relocate and split on their own but I have never had one do it at the same time.
