Star fish climbing side of tank

I have a sand sifting starfish that continues to climb up the corner of the tank to the top. Could it be that he is looking for more food? Tank has been running for about three months now. This behavior just started this week. The starfish has been in the tank for the last four weeks.

That would be my assumption, the star has decimated any life that might be in your sandbed and is hungry.

Thanks, that is what I thought also. I have put him my refuge tank for now. There are lots of PODS in there for him to eat.

it will eventually eat all that is in that tank as well and you will be in this situation again. If you plan on keeping it you need to research ways of restocking your pod population. Unfortunetly I don't have any advice to offer on that matter.
