pistols will kill fish and other shrimp. Basically anything they have in range of their "pistol"

I will have a couple of cabinet doors there, but not really much because it will only be 6-7Ē. I dont really need access in the front though. That whole area behind the tank will be devoted to the setup. Even an ro/di system plumbed right into the house water lines 10 feet from the back of the tank.

That why I asked if you have access to the front. I am starting an in wall tank. But my current tank has its back painted and not having the ability to see and work from the front would make maintenance difficult.

yea, I think its gonna be difficult no matter what though. plus I usually have rock all the way up the back wall and the glass spaces between the rock gets covered with algae anyway.
