On another site I found that I gave you bad info. :-( The sand from HD does have silicates.

Since my tank is a birthday present to my wife, everything I spend going forward is just an extension of my love for her right?

Ive now read it doesnt matter if the sand has silicates..... Ugggggg

+1 on aragonite. I have it for my 90 gallon reef and I love it. I will get a 40 pound bag of it for my new 29 Biocube.

90 Gallon Reef - 3 Blue-Green Chromis, 2 Ocellaris Clowns, 1 Kole Tang, 1 Midas Blenny, 1 Longnose Hawkfish, 1 Zebra Dartfish, 1 Algae Blenny, 1 Six-Line Wrasse
29 Biocube Reef - 1 Chalk Bass, 2 Black and White Clownfish, 1 Yellow Watchman Goby, 1 Fire Goby
