This is about to be my 1st saltwater tank.
~27gal 30Lx18Wx12H
Eheim 2217 canister
2x24wt T5 HO lighting - 1 life glo 2 bulb, 1 powerglo bulb

I'd like to set up as a reef.
Could I get some suggestions on:
-invert options
-coral options
-fish options

A six-line wrasse is about the only thing I'm really 'set' on right now.

Why not pick a biotope and run with it? Australia, Indonesia, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, Japan, etc etc etc.

wetwebmedia.com - Good beginner site with a variety of livestock pictures.
fishbase.org - More advanced search engine to research your fish.
Book: Aquarium Corals by Eric Borneman - Great beginner to intermediate information.

I had thought of the biotope but I like so many fish that they come from all over the world....sigh...IMO, Indian Ocean would be great. It is one of the last places on Earth that isn't all "touristed out". From my SCUBA experience, there are still way more fish than other places I have been, both in diversity and mass numbers.
